Sacha's scoring glut isn't entirely down to set-pieces. Four of his seven goals have been penalties. only four of his 12 assists have been from set plays he has initiated (or, in the case of that corner kick routine in Chicago, pretended to initiate). As one might expect of a new player to a team adjusting to a new tactical plan, he's taken a while to adapt to his surroundings. But until he took over set pieces, Sacha's primary role - despite nominally occupying the hallowed #10 spot in the formation - was not to create goals but to win possession high up the field and connect passes to the more creative attacking... Now he also has the responsibility of bringing some creative impetus to the team's set pieces, as well as finishing its opportunities from the penalty spot. The responsibility clearly agrees with him. Coupled with the expected settling-in to his position, Kljestan is now one of RBNY's main channels for goal scoring. Source: www.onceametro.com

For its next production, Theatre LILA wanted to dig into something deep. It came up with “Trash. The innovative theater company kicks off their new season Thursday with “Trash,” a series of vignettes penned by 12 authors. Like last year’s successful Theatre LILA production “Suitcase Dreams,” each writer starts with a theme — in 2014, a pile of suitcases. this year, trash — and weaves an original story around it. “We do 360s all the time in this script,” said Theatre LILA co-artistic director Jessica Lanius. “By that I mean — (the script) will be sort of a spoken word poem. Then we’ll be flipping to Shakespeare. Then we’ll flip to a very touching scene between a couple. “It’s very eclectic, like a big pile of trash,” she said with a laugh. The pieces in “Trash” were selected from among 50 submissions sent to Theatre LILA (pronounced LEE-lah) by writers from around the country. Each playwright was asked to start with a vision of, well, a pile of garbage. “We really liked how ‘Suitcase’ came out. So we were looking for another physical piece, prop or image to do a similar project,” said Lanius, who is directing “Trash. She and Theatre LILA co-artistic director Mike Lawler had already settled on presenting the play “The Mojo and the Sayso,” in February. The play by Aishah Rahman is the story of an African-American family tested by the senseless death of their son. “That (script choice) came out of everything that was coming out of Ferguson, (Missouri). The Madison case with Tony Robinson hadn’t happened yet,” Lanius said, referring to the police killings of two black men that sparked protests and a renewed debate about racial inequities. With the choices of “Trash” and “The Mojo and the Sayso,” “We were really asking ‘What do we want to be in this city. ’,” she said. “Mike and I, from very different directions, have always felt very strongly about how to merge theater with activism. If you’re going to produce something, what are you going to say. You raise all this money, and what is it going to offer the community. What can we get out of it, besides a great story. The idea of “Trash” — with all its social and environmental implications, and its visual and theatrical possibilities — “automatically was inspiring,” she said, “and made my brain go in all different creative directions. The scripts in “Trash” have stretched the definition: from trash talk (using insults. Source: host.madison.com
Imagine for a moment that a group of art enthusiasts have squeezed into mom's old minivan (perhaps dragging along some art skeptics for good measure), loaded up the car with snacks and playlists, and set out to visit some of the country's top museums
That match was RBNY's fourth loss in a row at the time, and its fifth loss from its first 14 games in MLS. Since then, with Sacha on set-piece duty, the Red Bulls have lost four out of 15 league matches - and won 10. And Sacha Kljestan has scored four
